That's very odd, Xyllis reflected. Someone must have gone to a great deal of trouble to ensure that these collars cannot be removed or altered in any way. Why would anybody - and obviously a powerful magic user at that - bother with doing that for a couple of bawdy girls? Oh well, it's not worth worrying about it. To avoid confusion, they will just have to retain the names that are on the collars. Time to wake them up now.
