Astra thought that her first priority had to be to get a weapon. Once she had got one, she felt confident that she could deal with whoever the owner of the footsteps might be. She opened the drawer, which was filled with swords.

  1. She chose a powerful broadsword.
  2. The swords were all children's toys, made of wood.
  3. When she laid her hand on the hilt of her chosen sword, it started to shout: "Thief! Thief! I'm being stolen!"
  4. The swords must have been made for dwarfs, their blades being only about a foot in length.
