Point of Divergence

"It's a theory," Xyllis said, "That there may be alternate dimensions - duplicates of our own world, but with slight differences in them. It's entirely possible that the miscast spell that sent the two of you here originated in a different plane of reality. If I can determine the divergence point - the place where your history and ours went awry - then I can more easily conjure a way to get you back home."

Xyllis began questioning Fred and Astra to see what differences she could find in their history and her own. It quickly became evident:

1. In Xyllis's world, there was no dragon rumored to be inhabiting the Northern Caves.
2. In Xyllis's world, there were as no Northern Caves at all.
3. Fred identified the rulers of Allaria as "Embron" and "Jastina". "That's not right," Helia said. "His name in Embry, hers is Gaela".
4. Xyllis mentioned someone called the "World-Emperor". Fred and Astra had no idea what she was talking about.
5. It was going to take time to find the differences (if any) in their worlds.
