"And I was just about to tell you that you look like you've been having too much good stew lately." Astra replied. "I thought it was funny, but now that I see what I look like, I don't find it so funny anymore." Well, Astra may not have found it funny, but Freda did - she just couldn't stop laughing at Astra.

In fact, the girls weren't fat, but gaining 15 pounds overnight had given a soft look to their once athletic bodies.

"I can't believe it! How could this happen to us?" Astra cried out, but then she, too, started smiling: "Hey, I think I'm still the leaner one - just look at your thighs, they're huge!"

"Good morning, young ladies." Said a trembling old voice. It was the crone, of course, who had entered the room silently while the girls were busy mocking each other. "I have to admit that you two look definitely edible. I have prepared a special bath for you. No need to thank me - I'm always happy when such yumm... err... lovely guests visit my modest home."

"A bath, it's great!" Freda looked cheerful. Astra said to herself...

1. "Hey, I sure could use a nice bath."
2. "A bath, eh? I bet the old witch means to put us in a stew."
3. "Hmm... I wonder what this is all about... Well, perhaps I should play along for a while."
