A Little Stone Cottage

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 48055

The cottage was small - not tiny, but cozy-looking. It was built of roughly-hewn stones and had a flat wooden roof, with a chimney currently producing the thin wisps of smoke the girls had spotted.

"Oh!" Astra exclaimed. "What a pretty cottage! Let's stop and ask where we are and how to get back."

"I hope someone nice lives there," Freda said.

"Me too," Astra said. "Or at least someone handsome."

Giggling, the two misplaced bawdy girls (misplaced far more than they realized) approached the cottage door and knocked. For a moment, there was no reply, then the door swung open to reveal:

  1. A large, ruggedly handsome man.
  2. A scrawny, sickly-looking man.
  3. A dangerous-looking brigand, holding a sword at them.
  4. An older man with a long beard, wearing robe.
  5. A beautiful woman.
  6. A crone.
  7. Nobody.
