Special Delivery

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 47519

Scott finds a note on the door saying the package from Cobra Commander was unable to be delivered as no one had answered the knocks. Scott sees the FedEx truck roaring down the interdimensional highway. There had been no knocks in the past hour. Scott knew this, for he had been playing Solitaire on his Gameboy on the cold, cool tile of the front hallway (AKA 'Shinytown' to Josh).
Further reading shows more bad news. Under the 'Driver: Leave at doorstep' line was the business hours for the local Fed-Ex place. It had closed twenty minutes ago and due to a weekend, a Federal holiday and the Fed-Ex mandated 'Not Work This Day' monthly event, Scott would not be able to pick up Mitchell's body for seven days. Somehow he knew this didn't quite make sense but as the author intended to portray, neither did Fed-Ex.

  1. Scott cries a little.
  2. Scott sees the now-lost driver one more time. He pursues. In an effort not to deliver, the driver careens into a nearly-dry river.
  3. Scott finds the package three doors down, with his neighbor, Fed-Ex supervisor Pedro Cliche.
