Guess You Should Have Listened to the Man and Chosen the Other Option

There was a time in the past, far in the past, beyond all reckoning of man or elf or even Ent (but not necessarily of Shredded Wheat - but let's not go there, at least for the moment) when the world and the sky and the sea and the stars and all that we hold to be the reality of our Universe, did not exist. In those ancient times, the Universe was divided into but two things: the giant Mushroom and the tiny Fish Finger. Now this knowledge has given pause to the deliberations of even the wisest of scholars, such are its many and profound implications.

For, sayeth the wise man and the fool alike (and who is to say that the two are not the same thing?), I am ok with the mushroom, but how can the existence of fish fingers (or at least a fish finger) preceed the existence of fish?

And this is a good question, but the answer is even better, and it is this: that in this instance, as in many others, Man (and by Man I include woman, hermaphrodite and androgyne) has put the cart before the horse. Or if you prefer, he has confused cause and effect. For in truth, the concept of the fish finger does not come from the concept of fish, but rather the opposite: the concept of fish comes from the concept of fish fingers.
