That part of the Crystallic that was still contained within Astra [2313,
4064] considered her wish, and decided that it amounted to a command.
There was a problem, though. It was already more widely separated from its
main portion, currently located within Rift's room in the inn, than was
altogether desirable. If it sent its current host somewhere else, it would
not be able to go with her. But it was possible for it to disengage itself
from her at the instant of transportation, and then to merge itself back
into the main unit. Yes, it would do that.
The black-skinned, expecting triplets, Astra found herself, to her astonishment, in her own bedroom back in the royal palace at Themyscira, the capital of Aqualaria. When she had pinched herself, and confirmed that she wasn't dreaming, she pondered what to do. The well-meaning Crystallic fragment had given her a big problem. Should she boldly go out of the room to find her family, and tell them that Astra had returned after all these weeks? They probably would not believe her, but if they did then that might be even worse, whether their reaction was pity or to be scandalised. Or should she try to leave the palace undetected, and attempt to carve out a new life for herself under an assumed name? She decided on:
