The second passage leads to Deep Space One, the most lonliest Starbase in the quadrant.
See, Deep Space One used to be on the frontier of Federation space. Fifty years ago! Now it is deep inside Fed territory and basically used as a storage facillity for stuff no admiral wants on their starbase anymore. Anything from self-sealing stembolts to Vulcan lyres (ten feet tall and stringed) to crates of Andorian gift spoons.
Josh and Scott stumbled out into a small, unused corridor.
Now granted, their presence was noted by the system, but since the Ops crew was busy fighting for their lives against, well, future versions of Scott and Josh, nobody noticed.
Almost instantly, Josh got in trouble by swallowing an Andorian gift spoon.

  1. Scott administers the Heimlich manuver.
  2. Josh administers the Heimlich manuver to himself.
  3. Scott administers mouth-to-mouth.
  4. Josh has to deal with this on his own for Scott has accidentally swallowed a Vulcan lyre.
