Disposing of the Sword of Ice

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 46486

A thorough search revealed no sign of an exit. "But this is ridiculous," Fred exclaimed angrily after a while. "There must be an exit. Though you were somehow teleported here, I must have walked into this cave, even though I don't remember doing so."

"Perhaps you were teleported here too, by whatever force brought me. Fred, I don't like this. Already our eyes have changed colour, and I have an uneasy feeling that the longer we stay here the more we may change."

"Perhaps it is the sword rather than the cave that is responsible. If that is so, then perhaps this may help." Fred flung his sword into the centre of the pool.

"Wasn't that a little rash?" Cassayn asked. "Suppose something attacks us?"

  1. "That's a chance I'm willing to take. And I still have my dagger"
  2. But Fred wasn't listening. He was looking at the pool, over which a sheet of ice was now rapidly forming.
  3. But Fred wasn't listening. He was looking at the pool, where a pillar of water was starting to form at the spot where the sword had entered.
