Telling Off Older Fred, Again

"WHAT?!?" cried out past Fred (really 'present' Fred from our point of view, but technically 'past' from the pov of 'future' Fred). "I told you to leave!!!"

"I did," said future Fred (who really was from the future from most of our pov's - atleast as of the writing of the original episode, although who might now be said to be from the 'present' or even 'past' of some of the more drawn-out episodes of these days). "But I had to come back, this is too important."

"Shove it," said Fred.

"But, but..."

"Can it."

"No, now look here..."

"Look where? Up your nose?"

"Stop that! Be sensible."

"Talking to myself is sensible? that's a good one."

"But the disaster is too horrible to have happen again."

"It hasn't happened from my point of view so it can't happen again, thpth!"

"Put your tongue back into your head. In six months it will happen."

"Not according to Bergnine's theorem. I quote: The acts of the past, when approached from the pov of the present can be altered without restraint."

"Exactly! That's why I'm here."

"Now go away, your job is done."

"But I didn't tell you about the horror."

"What, am I sick? I don't need the details. Just us talking here has altered what you call the past, and I the present. And since my present has been changed, my future cannot be your past! Ha!"

"But, but..."

"Scoot!" Fred hopped on a large rock and pointed out the exit, again.

"But, but..." says Fred. "I need to explain the details. I'm sure the theorem didn't take into account only minor changes."

"Talk to the hand!" said Fred as he lifted his hand, palm up, towards Fred.

"Fine. I'll go back to the other cave. But I really don't think this is quite right. If you change your mind, you know where to find me."

Fred snuggles back down and falls asleep.
