Belboz is Insistent

"He's fine. He will just be unconscious for a while. Now please hand over the child."

"If you think that I'm handing this terrified child over to you, for who knows what fell purpose, then..."

"Enough! Unless you want to join your friend in unconsciousness, that is. You can't stop me taking her anyway, so why try?"

1. Astra reluctantly accepts that Belboz speaks the truth.
2. With a speed that defies the eye, Astra draws her dagger and throws it at Belboz.
3. Velus, whom Belboz has overlooked, bites him in the ankle.
4. Then Belboz says: "Come to think of it, I only need a female for my experiment. If you like, I'll take you in the child's stead."
