Fred ran down the passage. His hair caught fire in the growing heat but
still he ran on in the blind darkness.
Suddenly wind flushed over his face.
Light came.
Fred swivelled round and realised he'd fallen off a bridge.
Fred hit a hard, solid surface and smashed his skull on a rock.
All went black.
