Mothers of the New Dawn

"Of course not," chuckled Yala, "You'll do your duty without clothes."

Amy looked over at Rami, who seemed to share her concern.

"And what might that duty be?" queried Amy.

The hag shuffled and guffawed. "My dears, don't you know why you were transported here? You are to become the Mothers of the New Dawn, the Bearers of the Great Avenger who will sweep away the old order completely. You are the ones of which the Prophecy spoke."

"I don't follow you at all," said a baffled Rami.

"You will bear the Dragon's seed!" the hag spit out.

"Gross!" Rami turned to Amy. "We have to get out of here. There's no way I'm doing it with some slavering giant lizard."

Amy nodded, and adjusted her olive towel. "What choice do we have, Rami? These caverns are terribly dangerous - how are we going to battle monsters weaponless and in towels?"

Rami was upset. "You want to just stay here and take it from the dragon? What kind of sister are you!!!"

Amy glanced over at the hag, who had turned her back, and then whispered to Rami, "I have a plan. Stay here."

Rami hesitated, but then...

1. ... assented. "You'd better have a damn good plan, because I'm not going to be able to fit a baby dragon through these hips," she hissed at Amy.
2. ... bolted. She didn't trust Amy and her scatter-brained plans. Rami slipped into the shadows and then down a dark passageway.
3. ... the booming voice of the dragon filled the chamber.
