At the bottom of the slide

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 4573

At the bottom of the slide is a big pile of hay and twenty red-robed people staring at a hole in the wall.
The room is a hundred feet square and built out of old, moldy bricks. Hay covers most of the floor. Fifty feet away is a pile of debris and fabric. Twenty feet in the other direction are some comfly looking chairs. But the far wall is where the action is. Twenty red robed people stand in a semi- circle around a hole in the wall. The hole is twenty feet wide. It's lined with red crusty biological matter. Green slime drips down from the bottom. It seems to have small parasites swimming in it.
Despite the torches lining the walls no light reaches far into the hole. Just about a foot in before pure blackness. It wasn't that the hole ended there, it was that light ended there.
The people began to chant. The words are in a strange, high-pitched language that hurt's Josh's thoughts. The amount of green slime increases.

  1. Josh hides behind the furniture.
  2. He attacks.
  3. He throws a dagger into the hole.
  4. He climbs back up the slide.
  5. One of the red-robed chanters explodes.
