"This is interesting," Fred said. "It's an advertisement for a bookstore called 'Tomes and Scrolls'. That wasn't here last time I was in this town. Can we go and have a look round?"

"I like browsing round bookshops myself," Astra said. "Where is it?"

"Just up that street there," Fred replied, pointing. "You don't want to get yourself some clothing first?"

"No, I'm not really bothered about that," Astra responded, confirming Fred's impression that she was quite insane.

Five minutes later, they were walking through the door of "Tomes and Scrolls". They were accosted by the proprietor, a severe-looking elderly woman.

  1. "Can I help you?" she asked.
  2. "Sorry, no naked women allowed," she told them.
  3. "Sorry, no dogs," she said. "Astra is not a dog," Fred objected angrily. "Not her - him." The woman pointed at Velus.
