Odd Man, Odd Things

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 45296

The odd man reaches into his pockets and takes out what looks like ashes and throws on the ground in front of Fred. The ash-like dust begins to form a rectangular object and eventually forms a spell book.

Fred picks it up and examines it. The book is about the size of a standered dictionary (when comparing it to our time). The whole book is dark red with nothing but a strange symbol that looks like this:

The book seems to be in perfect condition; Their is no tear, scratch, stain, you can't even notice stretch marks around the spine.

"I find it rather odd that you ask for a spell book. I thought you stoped trusting magic completely after the incident with your brother and his fire spell (397).

"Well" Said Fred. "I thought about that, but I figured I already used magic today, I might as well keep using it if it's going to make my job easier.

"I see" says the odd man." Fred was expecting the man to dissapear at any second, but he didn't. Instead, he began talking to Belboz about some sort of enchantment.

  1. Fred opens the spell book and begins searching for a usuful spell.
  2. Fred opens the spell book, but he can't read it.
  3. Fred asks the odd man about the weird symbol (^)
  4. Fred becomes curious about this enchantment and listens to the two men.
  5. Fred begins to grow hesitant about using the spell book.
  6. "Wait a minute!" Said Fred to the odd man. "How did you know what happened to my brother and that I didn't trust magic?!"
