Some 1960's style rock music started up as Schnookems landed on a surfboard and expertly maneuvered through the rough ocean current. Fred went over to a porthole that overlooked the water. “Whoa!” he screamed. “Look at that cat go!”

“Well he’s the coolest little cat in the southern seas,” Astra sang, in tune with the groovy guitar rifts.

“Hell, he drools a little bit and he’s covered with fleas,” Fred sang along. “But that don’t mean that he’s square, he’s the hippest kitty. I know he’s cooler than you, but is he cooler than me!?”

And together, they sang, “Go! Go Schnookems, Go!” Everybody now! “GO! GO SCHNOOKEMS, GO!”

Well he’s the coolest little cat in the southern seas! Even if he drools a little and he’s covered with fleas! GO! GO KITTY, GO! GO! GO KITTY, GO! GO! GO, GO, GO! GO! GO, KITTY, GO!

And that was that.

“So, anyway, about that medallion,” Astra digressed. “You’ve already been stupid enough to reveal your true identity to me, so why not keep that theme going and just the hand it over?”

She had him there. Truthfully, he wasn’t sure if it was a family heirloom or something else entirely. He didn’t even remember owning it before he woke up from that horrible nightmare in Bert’s shanty. But what he did know was that he wasn’t handing it over without a fight.

“Well I’m ready for a fight,” Astra said.

Wait a minute!? Was she reading his thoughts?

She twiddled her thumbs. “Maybe...”

Oh my God! She was! This was getting freaky. But little did she know of Fred’s secret weapon.

“And what’s that?”

His ability to not think! Try reading this, bitch!
