"Absolutely," Fred agreed.

"You two might be," Alexis muttered, "but I'm not."

"Nor am I," Bob said.

"Would you rather be boiled alive?" Astra asked. "Don't worry. Fred and I will do the actual slaying. You two can keep to the rear. But I'm surprised at you, Alexis. That a brother... sister... whatever... of mine should seek to duck a challenge like this."

She turned back to the chief. "What do you have as weapons for us?" she asked. (She feared that asking for armour might be expecting too much, though the grass skirts that the four of them had been provided with were really very nice.)

1. "Swords."
2. "Spears."
3. "Blow-darts."
4. "Pointy sticks."
