The outrun the reality shift by entering one of the Nuetral Bars.
A Nuetral Bar was an interesting place. If one had the cash or the will, one could get a drink, some clothes, advice or a friend.
NBs appeared in many dimensions, in many places. It's only rule was that there could be no conspiring or fighting. Essentially that was two rules but nobody argued with the propiertiers.
Astra trades an hour polishing weapons for clothes, food and a night's sleep. Velus trades an hour cuddling with the bartender's elderly mother for same. (Dogs need protection even in the caves).
After rest and relaxation, the two exit the Bar. The dragon's caves are back to 'normal'. Suddenly...

  1. screams.
  2. confusion for both.
  3. a nearby boulder turns into a ham sandwhich.
  4. a powerful force flings them back into the Bar.
