Velus was very excited to show Alura the monkey that lived just below the
rim of Toothsome. Alura was much less excited, she had followed the half-
dog boy not knowing that it was a monkey he was going to show her. On the
rim Fred and Astra stood watching.
"I can't believe my half-sister has suddenly shown up," said Astra. "Me neither!" answered Fred. "Though I admit her speech threw me, I had no clue what she was talking about on the shore." Neither did Astra but she kept her mouth shut. Suddenly a strange brilliance shown from behind the pair, upon turning Astra felt a great pain at the neck, her hands instinctively reached up but then her whole body fell down dead! "Holy CRAP!" yelled Fred. He could barely see anything with the light shining right in his face, but he did a few karate chops into the light simply out of desperation. Then the light faded, and the only thing on the rim of Toothsome was Fred and dead Astra. Alura and Velus ran up the hill, huffing and puffing. "Sacred Shit!" cried out Alura. "Goodly Guano!" barked out Velus. "We saw everything," exclaimed Alura. "A brilliant light lit up the air, a dark figure appeared and a sword shot out and into Astra! How terrible! I have lost a half-sister and a half-niece this day!" "We must find this evil murderer!" said Fred. "How?" asked Velus. The three fell into silence. They had no answer. Hours later, while Fred was digging dead Astra's grave, Velus nuzzled up to Alura. "How do you know Astra's baby-to-be was a girl?" "Wha--?" said Alura, half in thought. "You said 'half-niece'." "Oh, that. Astra is an amazon, would you expect anything else but a girl?"
