To Astra's surprise Henri agreed. He called one of the Senior NCOs over and had a few words. The sergeant nodded and ran off, calling to a couple of his men. Henri turned back to Astra. "A couple of the soldiers are going to position themselves in the encampment." He handed over his crossbow and quiver. He smiled at Astra's confusion and said, "Doesn't hurt to make things more interesting. Obviously since the soldiers don't any protection, you'll have to aim to miss."

Astra had to pause to think awhile. The other soldiers were trying to infiltrate into an empty camp; there weren't any soldiers to sneak up on. Why the change?

Astra seemed to be torn between refusing and going ahead with it. Finally, she shrugged helplessly and got to work.

  1. Astra was able to surprise both soldiers.
  2. Astra caught one, but he involuntarily gave a yell which alerted the other soldier. His sergeant wasn't pleased.
  3. A sudden gust of wind meant a soldier got hit in the arm. Fortunately, the wound isn't serious.
