It would be only a slight exaggeration to say that no-one could have been
more shocked than Sir Toby is when the bear (which, previous authors
neglected to mention, is a polar bear) stands up on its hind legs, dons a
pair of dark glasses which appear to come from nowhere, and asks Fred in
a gravelly voice if he would like a soda. "Err . . . sure." Fred mutters, somewhat flabbergasted by this latest turn of events. As if from nowhere, two bottles filled with pale pink fizzy liquid appear in the bear's paws. It offers one bottle to Fred and promptly begins guzzling the contents of the other. Somewhat thirsty by now, what with having been on a quest and killed and reincarnated and all, Fred gingerly lifts the bottle to his lips. "Mmm - not bad. Actually - PRETTY DAMN GOOD!" Fred enthuses. "Tell me, Sir Bear, do I detect strawberries?" The bear nods sagely. "Tell me, goodly ursine (look it up), what is the name of this delightful beverage?" Fred inquires, smacking his lips. The bear holds the bottle forward so that Sir Fred can clearly read the label. It says "CRESTA". "It's frothy, man!" says the bear.
