I was alerted to the Astra's presence around eleven-and-a-half
hours later. I was used to prolonged periods without sleep, but even that
amount of time was almost too much. I was soon shocked into wakefulness
when whoever was piloting the Astra brought her a bit too close for
my liking, and I could see every dent and scrape in her hull. When she
slowly backed away again I heaved a sigh of relief. She was brought forward slightly and I could see the cargo hold doors slowly opening. A few minutes later the Phoenix was parallel to the opening. It was just then I had realised that I had forgot to lower the landing gear and sheepishly did so. Didn't really want to add more damage for the Russilinians to sort out. After around twenty minutes and several more near misses the Phoenix was nestled safe and secure in the Astra's hold.
