That's Just Contradiction, Not a Proper Argument

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 44067

Astra is naturally downcast by Fred and Velus's news. "I'd expected better of the Wizard," she says.

Before Fred can reply, there is the sound of someone - or something - approaching along the tunnel. Then it comes into view. It's the dragon!

Fred draws his sword. "Put your sword away if you don't want me to incinerate the Princess," the Dragon says.

Recognising that, chained up as she is, Astra would be a sitting duck, Fred reluctantly complies. To their surprise, the dragon produces a key and frees Astra. (His forepaws are surprisingly dextrous.) Then he vanishes in a blaze of magic light.

"Did he say something about 'now the fun can begin'?" Fred asked.

"It certainly sounded like it," Astra agreed. "He seems to have decided that I would be more fun free, and adventuring with you, than remaining chained up."

"Adventuring with me? But I must go after the dragon and slay it if I am to fulfil my quest. That is much too dangerous for a woman."

"If I wasn't grateful for your attempt to free me, that remark would have earnt you a black eye. After all, I'm a warrior princess. I'm going with you whether you like it or not."

"Aren't."

"Am."

"Aren't."

"Am too."

  1. Eventually Fred gives way.
  2. Eventually Astra gives way. (Surely not!)
  3. The argument, if such it can be called, seems likely to go on for all eternity.
