Artizza:
The gryphons appear rather bemused that we have freed the magical bonds imposed on them by Stryke and are letting them go. Their experience of mages, and indeed of humans in general, seems to have been an unfortunate one, so they hadn't expected any kindness from us. I do my best to explain why we are acting like this, but I'm not sure that they really understand. Their mentality is too different from that of either humans or elves. Eventually they fly away. Meanwhile, my husband has been talking to the ex-dancer who has been trapped in the form of a bear. Fertal: Fortunately our mages have managed to come up with a device that will translate the bear's grunts into human speech. He's none too happy about having to wear a necklace, but it was hard to find something that a bear could wear and that could be suitably bespelled. He's a little suspicious of me at first. Apparently they have dark elves in his version of Terra and they have a bad reputation. But when I tell him my story and explain about the Champions, he relaxes. Then he tells me his story. As we'd rather suspected, he's yet another Fred.
