Last part is more or less trouble free, surprisingly enough . . .

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 43317

Chiana

Hm, something to chat over with Sigin tonight on the old Hoard pile . . . .

The last leg of this wormhole odyssey is actually rather anticlimactic, if a bit upsetting in spots. The remaining target pickups are rather easily tracked down and located.

In the reality where the first meeting between Aeryn Sun and John Crichton ended with the human's neck snapped (apparently) the target had been the only survivor from the encounter: Sun. We were able to stop the neck of Crichton (native) from breaking by stunning Sun (who'd been ever so Ticked OFF by the human's overly familiar ways), but Aeryn never knew what hit her.

Both she and the native Crichton (with a rather sore neck . . . twinges) will wake up later (in different places), and who knows how things will go then. Native Crichton (with Farscape Module) will find himself waking up at a familiar (to UFO nuts) place: Area 51! Oh my, Inquirer and Elrondir smile at THAT one . . .

Native Aeryn Sun will wake up back in her Command Carrier. Back there, in Captain Crais' bedroom . . .

Not like a warm and loving relationship between human male and Sebacian female could have happened, what with Sun trying to have killed Crichton, right?

As for the other crewmembers of Moya, they'll find starcharts (and other useful info) for their journey home. The Doctor had that info from a prior Quest (Chiana's), so decided to share (again).

And beyond that, it was pretty much all we could do. More and it would be . . . counterproductive and leave it at that. Time for them to work things out for themselves. . . .

The reality where the Scarrans invade Earth centuries ago? Well, again that was rather straight forward. After events play out as seen on TV, we intercept at Scarran who'd been wanting to discuss things with the native Crichton. Something about trying to remove that bracelet he'd been forced to wear. The one kind that keeps him and every other human being (who just need bolts in the neck to complete the Frankenstein Monster look) planet-bound ever since the beginning of the Occupation (which began centuries ago).

....

Had almost been comedic the startled look the Scarran had when it's heat ray (whatever) failed to even raise an eyebrow on Inquirer, though it hit her full in the face. Oh, it kind of crisped a few non-magical items on her person we find afterward, but . . .

Uh, nevermind. We give a heads up to the alarmed native humans (the Crichtons). The Doctor gives a few hints to native John Crichton on how to slip that bracelet off (crash the whole system, actually), but also suggests the human make himself scarce. Since the native John Crichton knows people (else how was he going to be able to realistically figure out how to do what he'd been trying to do), he shall slip underground.

Best we can do. Short of an all out war to overthrow the Scarrans . . .

. . .

Well, that' leaves a bad taste in the mouth, but we did what we could. Maybe it is enough, I pray.

Finally . . .

The reality which was a replay of "our" Crichton's first day on Moya (except THIS time Crichton, whilst in control of the native John, had known exactly what to expect)? Well, again it was straight forward stuff. Being that nobody was actually in danger of being killed (immediately), we let events play themselves out. That proves to actually cause some problems, but then again what can you expect with this group of Moya's?

With Crichton having shouted out suggestions to the rather brusque D'Argo, the neural pathways with the lock to Moya's Control Collar got yanked early. The Collar came off Moya early and she Starbursted early. Too early! The PK fighter ship that the native Aeryn Sun would have gotten sucked along with Moya didn't get sucked along because of the early Starburst.

That would have a LOT of implications, eh?

But that's about the time we have to show ourselves. Seems that the Key Component Carriers this time (plural) is none other than Moya and Pilot!

One will wake up later with a sore tongue. Walker (who'd been wearing gloves as was her habit of recent) had dodged and nabbed that whip like tongue of that Luxan rather harshly. He'll have something of a lisp for quiet a while (it's swollen from rough treatment), but better that than what it could have been. If Walker hadn't checked herself, her built blades would have severed his tongue!

But all find themselves back home (ala TARDIS lift) who have homes, including Crichton (Area 51 again), and that's that. Pilot and Moya will . . . after this is all done find herself a new crew. Hopefully this time one that's not wanted by Peace Keepers . . .

Best we could do, given the circumstances . . . Besides, at this point in the game they all had wanted to get back home, anyway, so why not? Cannot do anything for the native Chianas of these latest realities we've visited because . . . God only knows where they are at the times we'd visited (not even our girls in gray can hazard a guess).

Yep, well I'll pray for them. Best I can do under circumstances, all considered. Who knows . . .

Well, we did what we could.... Cheer UP, demifox!!

...

That all done, now it is time to decide . . . .

"So do we do Bladerunner or Moonraker," Aeryn Pip asks the others. "Why the hesitation?"

  1. "We actually were wanting you girls in gray to decide which one to go on first," Ragan says, smiling slightly.
