The Start of Kim's Quest

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 42993

She could remember very little about yesterday... Something about a Quest? She'd followed this damn map, but there was no cave marked on it. Why did it have to be so perplexing?

...

The King sat at a table, before his most highly trusted advisors, and spoke:

"For years, the dragon has burned our villages and scorched our fields. He has destroyed our bravest warriors, squashed our most accomplished mages, and incinerated our most cunning assassins. And so I have dispatched our most capable negotiator, the shepherdess Kim, to convince him to cease his raids."

...

Kim stood at the entrance to the cave, puzzled. "This must be it," she thought to herself, "but this entire mountain range is not on the map. I should be approaching a fetid swamp. I suppose I shouldn't complain."

Kim was ill-prepared to enter the caverns. The barefoot adolescent wore a torn and dirty peasant dress upon her thin frame. Mauve ribbons held her long black hair in tails, accenting her asiatic features.

She had one thing going for her. From a young age, Kim had cultivated the miraculous ability to speak to the creatures of the forest. Many, it turned out, were quite sophisticated in their expressions, when the right person was listening. On many occasions she had talked hungry wolves out of feasting upon the sheep in her care, and she hoped to use the same power on the dragon.

But now, she needed to find her way to the dragon's lair. With a deep breath, she decided to enter ...

  1. the cavern on the left.
  2. the cavern on the right.
