Katie screamed in terror and began crying as fate turned cruely against
her. “But I don’t want to be a chopped up and put in a stew!” she
squealed. “Like, please, Doug! I thought we were, like,
friends!” “Poor little thing,” Doug chuckled as he opened the cage. “Truth be told, I wasn’t planning on eating you for at least a few more nights, darling. You were fattening up so nicely. Oh well.” He effortlessly hoisted her out of the cage and then smashed her head in with a massive, ogre-sized frying pan. Whistling some vulgar tune, Doug continued to go about his preparations for the night’s meal. Amy cringed. She couldn’t help but feel a little relieved, however, no matter how guilty that made her. She had been through a lot lately, and it seemed close-calls like these were going to be common in this strange place. That could have been her head pounded flat against the floor.Amy turned her back on the wicked little spectacle of the ogre and his savage stew. She felt like she was going to puke. Things were looking pretty grim...
