Seinfeld Offers a Witty Comment

The Never Ending Quest - Episode 42532

“Hey, I mean, we all knew it was dangerous to treat women like objects. But who would have known it was lethal to treat objects like women!” Seinfeld quips. “This guy gives new meaning to using things that blow up as sex toys! I mean, has this guy ever heard of a doll!? At least he’d still be in one piece! Well, to be fair, it was me who threw the grenade at him. But c’mon!”

This earns Jerry a hearty applause from below, where Scott has witnessed the entire ordeal. He never really liked Josh anyway, since he was always nagging Scott to do the dishes and take a shower once in awhile and stuff like that. “Good one, Jerry,” he says. “They never should have cancelled your show!”

Seinfeld bows graciously, then retreats back behind the orange door, muttering something about smelly shoes and airplane food.

Scott suddenly feels a poignant sense of loneliness. Josh may have been a little bossy, but at least he was a human contact. He sighs and goes back into the staircase room.

“Loneliness can’t be all bad,” he tells himself for the millionth time. In the past months he’s developed a habit of lecturing himself out loud. “I’m just new to it. I bet this would be fun if I’d been an only child.”

He begins to pace again, still feeling lonely. He still doesn’t understand the comfortable teal sofas lining this room, or the boxed food over in the corner, or the strange spiral staircase plunging through the ceiling and floor.

Scott sighs, shakes his head and...

  1. kills himself with the loaded pistol he keeps underneath the couch.
  2. resumes watching his cartoons.
  3. goes back up the staircase to see if he can piece Josh back together.
  4. wanders up to the orange door of Jerry's apartment to see if he has any food in his cabinets or refrigerator.
