The cops jimmy open the Staircase Room's one window. But they aren't
busting in to arrest Josh for killing Scott. They were busting in to steal
things. Specifically, all the drugs that were rumoured to be in the
Staircase Room.
But Josh had taken all said drugs years ago and the cops, three of them,
found nothing. They also didn't find Josh because he was hiding in the
rebinding closet in the Staircase Room library. The cops become confused
and angry.
But what about Josh?

Josh gets high off the chemicals.

Josh accidentally binds his face to his butt.

Josh binds mild porn between covers of PG rated books.

Josh eats several pieces of paper.

The cops bust open the closet door and smack Josh around.

Josh finds an a.c. vent and obeying the whims of fate, crawls in.

Josh finishes all the rebinding work in twenty minutes. Then he cries.

Josh imagines how his life would be like if he had two extra arms.

Misunderstanding the nature of book repair, Josh damages more books so the librarian has more work to do.

Josh rebinds a book titled 'Rebinding Book'. The circular nature of his task makes him dizzy, headachey and gassy.
