Instantly, Fred and Astra were transformed from flesh and blood into cold,
lifeless stone. Fred's look of outraged anger was frozen on his face, as
was the indignation and alarm on Astra's. "There!" Pronklezilch smirked in satisfaction. "May not have solved the whole lead-into-gold trick, but I can petrify with the best of them. Hope they like this little patch of trail, becuase they'll be guarding it for a very long time to come." Pronklezilch raised his staff and started to return to his tower, but paused. This didn't seem quite a suitable location for these two. "Perhaps a bit of relocation is in order. In fact - yes, I know just what to do with these two!" he laughed. The wizard gestured again with his staff, and the two statues vanished, and reappered...
