Sir Time Warrior was getting annoyed. His map was useless, the cave
stench was starting to affect his grammar, and his only companion was a
flesh-eating zombie named Drake, who didn’t seem bright enough to
differentiate between a dead body and a live body. Accordingly, he
started becoming apprehensive when his torch went out. Shortly afterward,
he walked straight into a wall.
Sir Time Warrior turned left. He walked four paces. He walked straight into a wall. Sir Time Warrior turned 180 degrees. He walked six paces. He walked straight into a wall. Sir Time Warrior then attempted to feel his way around, muttering that he should have started doing that when the torch went out. He found one of the corners that he was fairly certain hadn’t moved and walked away from the other one along the wall, feeling his way along the wall with his left hand. He moved twenty paces. He walked straight into a wall. Confident he had taken a wrong turn somewhere, Time Warrior retraced his steps. He turned around and walked twenty paces, feeling his way with his right hand. He walked straight into a wall. He then turned left and walked six paces. He walked straight into a wall. He turned left again, unsure of what was going on. Perhaps I turned when I came in here without knowing it, he thought. Sure enough, he walked ten paces and found an opening to the right. He turned right and kept hugging the wall. So far, it had worked. After many paces, he finally noticed some light at the end of the corridor. He also heard some grumbling sounds. As he approached, those sounds turned into "Yum. Yummy yummy mmphff mmphf yum." It appeared that Drake had discovered a dead body, though it was impossible to identify the remains. Drake looked up sheepishly. "Grhoo wann some?" he asked, still throwing bones into his mouth. Time Warrior declined. "I told you that you can eat the dead stuff; I don’t want it. Are you that stupid that you can’t remember stuff I told you a few minutes ago?" Drake didn’t look up this time from his food. "Errgh, whass mean stupid?" Time Warrior rolled his eyes. "You’re hopeless." He waited a few minutes for Drake to finish eating, grabbed a torch from a nearby wall, and started walking away from the dead end. "C’mon, let’s go, Drake. Plenty more where that came from."
