Stone Cold

A short time later, the village shaman arrived on the scene. Rami couldn't see him (her forehead was firmly attached), but she could feel him tickling her huge foot. A crowd of villagers had assembled down by her legs, and they were now applauding something.

"What's going on?" Rami shouted.

One of the villagers rushed over towards her. "The shaman's applied the Oporotheca Ointment to your feet."

"Huh?"

"It'll turn you to stone, you evil monster!"

Rami felt a crackling down toward her toes, and suddenly realized that she could no longer move her ankles.

1. The process spreads down her legs and to her thighs.
2. Rami totally freaks out. Her jerking breaks the ropes that bind her, and she rolls over a couple of villagers and onto her stomach.
