Someone knocked on the door.

The witch opened the door, and it was Shelley Beech! She was the blonde, bubbly, and relentlessly perky hostess of the noted programme, "Dungeon Design." Yes, the gingerbread house had been chosen as their newest interior design project. With a budget of thirty pieces of silver and a time limit of 48 hours, two couples would swap rooms in their castles, hovels, or lairs, and under the direction of a professional interior designer, come up with either innovative or disasterous room redesigns.

"Dungeon Design" was the witch's favourite. She viewed it in her crystal ball every Sunday afternoon. Of course, the rules required that she have a partner, and so she released Fred from his cage. "Oh, I do hope we get Reginald as our designer," gushed the witch. "I like his use of bold colours. And he is so cute and portly - he would go well with a mint sauce, methinks."

Lord Fred d'Honaire and Brenda the Witch were assigned to update the interior in

1. a chamber of the Southern Caves.
2. Reabin's wine cellar.
3. the cottage of the local woodcutter.
