The Never Ending Quest - Episode 41509

Astra was puzzled and disappointed by the toll-keeper's reaction. Since she didn't speak his language, she had no way of finding out the reason for his fear and hostility. Maybe he felt that to need help from a woman in combat had belittled him. Maybe he thought that any woman who could fight that well must be a supernatural being and perhaps even a demoness.

Shrugging, Astra gave up her attempt to help the man with his injuries, and made her way across the bridge.

  1. There was a path leading away from the river, which she took.
  2. The path from the bridge continued along the river bank, heading upstream. So Astra was travelling in the same direction as before, but on the opposite side of the river.
  3. The toll-keeper attacks her.
