Fred Goes Up

For several minutes, Fred was just too shaken by the weirdness around him to do anything.
Eventually, he decided to go up, because it was going down into caves and other
underground things that had gotten him into this mess in the first place.
As Fred walked up the wooden staircase, though, he saw that it was on fire. A huge red fire was roaring ahead of him. The music had also become slightly more menacing. Then again, Fred had no way of knowing whether the fire would actually hurt him in this weird place. He put his hand tentativley into the fire.
