Fred produced it from his pack. "We don't know how old the tin is," he pointed out. "It might not be safe to eat. Why not have something from my pack." "But it's mutton jerky, my favourite. And tinned food keeps for a very long time." Astra used her dagger to remove the lid of the tin. "It smells all right," she said. She took a strip and chewed it. "And it tastes very good indeed."
