The Never Ending Quest - Episode 41493

Marta seemed to be taking having been snatched away to such a strange place remarkably well for such a young girl, though initially she was rather taken aback by Astra's nudity. Nevertheless, Fred was deeply concerned about her. "This is no place for a child," he told Astra. "I must put my quest in abeyance, and take her back to the royal castle. Will you come with me?"

"I will. I couldn't do much against the dragon on my own, with only a dagger for a weapon. If I come with you, I can get myself properly re- equipped."

"Good. But something else is worrying me, besides the child's safety. Whoever teleported her from out of the castle like that must have enormous power. If they could do that to one person, then why not to more. No-one is safe! And since the child ended up here, it seems highly probable that the dragon is responsible."

"Highly probable, perhaps, but nevertheless wrong." They spun round to see an old man. He went on: "I am Belboz the necromancer. It was I who sent for the child. Hand her over to me, please."

"Never!" Fred said. He drew his sword, Astra readied her dagger and Velus bared his teeth.

  1. "Oh dear, I see that you are going to be difficult," the necromancer said.
  2. But at that moment, Marta ran forward. "Uncle Belboz!" she cried. "How wonderful to see you!" "You see, you shouldn't jump to conclusions," Belboz said.
