finding device, Sandra wondered. Having no good reason to take the other
entrance, she decided to follow its guidance and so, having lit one of the
torches that she had in her pack, she entered the left-hand tunnel. She
retained no trace of Fred's memories, so was unaware that she was taking
the opposite entrance to the one that he had taken many months before.
