As Fred is brought back to life, we awakes from his hallucination and
realizes that the moment he entered the dragon's lair, he had been under a
mind spell and everything was just an illusion. He had not yet fought the
dragon. He had just been standing before it in a dreamy stupor. The dragon
looks amused.
