Fred's eyes lit up. "Really? That's fantastic. How old are they?" "I'm 23, Belinda is 22. Carola is 20, the twins Drusilla and Edwina are 19, Frieda is 18 and Georgia is 17." "Wow! I'll never mess around with milkmaids again, I promise." "Do you know what day it is today, Fred?" "April the First." "Correct. April Fool, Fred!" "Huh, what do you mean?" Astra explained the Aqualarian custom of April Fool hoaxes. When she had finished, Fred said: "You must be strange people in Aqualaria. So I don't get to marry your sisters after all. Were you also joking about me marrying you?"
