Perhaps she shouldn't have had that third glass of red wine over dinner,
Astra thought. It wasn't that she was hung over, but her mouth was very
dry. Red wine was always dehydrating, she knew. Surprisingly, since it had
been a good meal, she also felt rather peckish. She recalled that some of
the very tasty finger buffet had remained uneaten. A visit to the kitchen
seemed to be in order.
She lit a candle to take with her. Then, dressed in the mid-thigh length white nightshirt which she had been lent to sleep in, she left her room.
