  1. Because it was on the side and thus not subject to letting in water.
  2. It was microscopic, letting in only a few molecules of water per minute.
  3. It was currently being blocked by Captain Lots' ass.
  4. It was currently being blocked by Captain Lots' fateful butler, Bruce Wayne.
  5. It turns out the reader of these episodes was -hallucinating- the hole. The reader needs sleepies.
  6. Holeaphobia. Fear of holes. Plus denial.
