The Never Ending Quest - Episode 40643

Josh, bored out of his skull, accepts Scott's invitation for adventure. Surprising both of them, Scott races down a random hall. Josh screams in surprise, like a little girl, and follows. He can barely keep up.
Soon the two pound past all familiar territory. The kitchen. The Blockkbuster Video story. The library. The bathrooms. The family bathrooms. The spider holes. The vending machine fields. Even the rooms open to the super-structure, with the strange cold winds and the tarps that flutter just a few seconds too late.
Three minutes later, Scott leans against the wall at a sharp right turn. He puts both hands on his knees and pants like an over-excited puppy.
The floor here is cement painted black. The walls are brown oak. There is the occasional landscape painting of snowy mountains. Light comes from an uncertain source.
Josh peers down the new hallway. What does he see?

  1. It goes to the limits of his eyesight.
  2. A big wooden door.
  3. A fifty foot long hallway with many doors, some slightly open.
  4. Ten feet away is a ledge over an underground landfill.
  5. They are back in the Staircase Room. DAMMIT!!
  6. They are on the set of Star Trek: Lost Room 3.
  7. A foggy graveyard. Something moves ten rows in.
  8. Twenty feet down, three more branching hallways. Also, the floor is oddly wet there.
  9. A gym Josh went to during summer school. Four people were known to have vanished here.
  10. A Norwegian fishing village from 1985. He can hear MTV playing from the town hall.
