Reunited with Fred

"Guards? I didn't see any guards." Damn! You should have known that it was a mistake to pay them in advance.

"How would you like to stand guard outside our room, Fred, and make sure that nobody comes in?" you ask. "If you do, I'll give you another shiny in the morning."

"I'd sooner share that couch with Boobs," he says. "It looks very comfy."

"Sorry, Fred, but this is supposed to be a children-safe addventure." He just looks at you blankly, so you try another tack. "Boobs hasn't bothered to bathe since we escaped from the caves. She's really smelly. You don't want to get too close to her."

You had thought that Astra was still asleep, in spite of the racket that Fred had been making, but unfortunately she chooses this moment to open her eyes and sit up. "What did you say?" she asks you menacingly.

"Noth-," you begin, but that is as far as you get, because by then Astra - having moved with lightning speed - is standing behind you with her arm wrapped around your neck and squeezing hard. She does pong a bit, actually, (though in truth not nearly so bad as Fred does) but at the moment that is the least of your worries.

1. Everything goes black.
2. Astra relaxes her grip.
3. "Boobs, if you kill him can I have his share of the shinies?" Fred asks.
