Though Astra had claimed that she was prepared to do anything for her man, she was not in fact prepared to go as far as killing the milkmaid. So as the girl began to turn blue, she released her from her grip. Coughing and spluttering, the girl subsided to the ground.

"You are not going to hang out with the boys," Astra told Fred. "You are coming with me."

"Where?" Fred asked.

  1. "I'm taking you home to meet Mama and Papa."
  2. "To the local magistrate. We are going to get married by special licence before you can get into any more trouble."
  3. "Let that come as a surprise."
