"Oh dear," Fred's ghost said. "Sorry about that. We didn't mean to
frighten the goblin like that. Still, if he was so scared of us, then he
wouldn't have been much use against the dragon. Oh, this is Velus. You may
not recognise him since, as a ghost, he's no longer in the form of a dog."
"Hello, ladies," Velus said. "At least I can talk again now." "Since you are ghosts, I assume that the dragon killed you both," Astra said. "No, we fell down a cliff," Fred replied. For a ghost, he did quite a good job of looking embarrassed. "So where are your corpses? Do you want us to bless them to free you from being ghosts and allow you to enter the afterlife, or something like that? I say 'us', but I guess it would have to be me, unless Exotica somehow gets her proper voice back."
