Trapped!

"I don't really know. That's just the name that I invented for it. I haven't actually seen it yet, you see, only smelt it. The smell has always given me enough warning that I've been able to get away from it before it could get too close."

"If it's been following you for three days, then you can't have been chained up for very long, or it would have caught up with you."

"No, it was only a few hours ago that the dragon captured me. But I've just realised that I'm being very rude. I haven't introduced myself yet. I'm Princess Astra."

"And I am Lord Frederigo D'Honaire, but please call me Fred."

"Pleased to meet you, Fred... Oh no!"

Astra's exclamation was caused by the fact that the tunnel had come to a dead end. They were trapped! Fred drew his sword, as they waited for the Blahgise to come into view.

1. It looked even worse than it smelt.
2. But before that could happen, the stench became so awful that both Fred and Astra fainted.
