The Never Ending Quest - Episode 40286

Just as Despair was on the brink of bursting free from her mental
shackles, Vincent returned, refreshed and restored from his holiday, and
full of new ideas as to how he might employ his carnage beasts to gain
more power and knowledge for himself. As soon as he picked up the leashes
of Despair and her companions, the beast rose in her once again, drowning
out any further attempt at thought. Once more, the only things that she
was aware of were the instinctive desires to fight, destroy, eat, copulate
and sleep and - above even those - the compulsion to obey her master's
commands.
Vincent did not remain at his tower for long. He quickly checked that all was in order, and that Shiva remained securely imprisoned in her flask. Then he transported himself and his beasts:
